Week Calendar

Get ready for our special storytime on the first Monday of each month. Our themes include nursery rhymes, opposites, and gingerbread stories. Jokes, songs, activities, and a craft are always included.

Join Kidspace for an early literacy storytime for ages 2-4 on select Tuesdays. We will share stories, songs, rhymes, and tips for caregivers. Each storytime is followed by a craft. Babies are always welcome for storytime.

The Wilson Branch Library’s Adult Crafters Group has been meeting on Thursdays for decades. If you are working on a craft and would like to work on it in the company of like-minded individuals, stop by and join the group.

Babies love books! This program uses fingerplays, songs, action rhymes, and books to promote the development of early literacy skills. For babies 6 months old to 24 months old and their caregiver.

Teens and Tweens are invited to play Dungeons and Dragons one Saturday each month. Make friends and join an epic adventure as you set off to slay monsters, earn gold, and find powerful artifacts and treasure.

Talk to an expert who can provide information and support for basic needs on the first Tuesday of every month. Meet one of Windsor Social Service's friendly and knowledgeable caseworkers at the Main Library.

Get ready for an afternoon of relaxing music by a member of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra! Cellist Adam Willson will perform classic pieces by famous composers.

The Library Geeks continue to answer any and all gadget related queries. Drop in to Meeting Room 2 on the lower level. Bring your device and your questions, as always the advice is free.

Come learn the Japanese art of Furoshiki wrapping taught by Beth Van Ness. Furoshiki wrapping is a sustainable and beautiful way to wrap gifts that helps reduce waste and instantly elevates gift-giving. Seating is limited. Sponsored by WLA.

Discover the world of board games beyond the traditional choices and see what all the fun is about! Come try new and  exciting games at the Windsor Public Library on the first Saturday of each month in the spring from 3:00 to 4:30 PM.

Let's brighten up our windows with colorful window stars. We'll use bright translucent wax paper to create magical stars to brighten up the winter days ahead. Adorn them in the Wilson Branch windows or take them home!

The first Monday of every month, Principal Mihalko will be at the Windsor Public Library reading a story and meeting members of the community. Drop in.

Back by popular demand, our annual create your own Gingerbread House with all the yummy fixings to use for whatever building or place you want to create. Then take home your masterpiece.

Bring your creativity and get ready to make a fun new craft! 

Create a whimsical winter-themed wreath that can be used as a holiday decoration or given as a thoughtful gift to friend or family member. 

At Silent Book Club, there's no assigned reading. All teen and adult readers are welcome and it's BYOBook (or browse the Windsor Public Library shelves!). Settle in for about 45 minutes of silent, sustained reading.
