Summer Reading Kickoff 2024

6/19 UPDATE

Hi everyone,

This is Alex from the Kidspace here at the Windsor Public Library. It's official: our alpaca visit is cursed. The visiting farm had to cancel due to the hot weather. Alpacas are not fond of extreme heat. But no worries! We had enough lead time this year so that we were able to book new entertainment!

This Saturday, June 22 we will be hosting Bring the Hoopla instead of Aussakita Acre Farms. They'll be bringing hoola hoops and fun activities for us to celebrate summer reading! We'll also have lawn games, popsicles, and giveaways.

But fear not. There may still be an opportunity for alpaca goodness. We're convinced that the visit is truly cursed and the weather gods just don't want it to happen. Instead, we will be offering something else from Aussakita Acre Farms whether its a voucher to go visit them in Manchester or an alpaca gift, we'll release more information in the near future! We're just working on ironing out the details.

We're very sorry for the continued issues. The weather is unpredictable at this point in history and we'd rather our animal friends be safe and comfortable.
