Presented by Ron Feuchs and Jackie Tepper, partners at Stand Out For College LLC, this virtual presentation will offer to help high school juniors and their parents understand how to use the upcoming summer productively to create a compelling college application.
The session will cover the college application process, including current admission trends, writing the personal statement and supplemental essays, securing strong teacher recommendations, and understanding how students can position themselves to increase their chances of admission.
The session will also explore why a student's ability to express insights, experiences, and personal growth through their essays is more important than ever.
The presentation will include application strategies, such as the advantages and disadvantages of early decision, early action, and regular decision. We will review the factors students should consider when deciding whether to submit standardized test scores for test optional colleges and universities. We will also explain the different pathways through which students can be admitted to a particular school.
The presenters will also examine the holistic admissions review process, and how students can develop a compelling narrative that strengthens their applications while also discussing the significance on a student's character and the ways they contribute to their communities.
This program provides a detailed and strategic overview of what students should focus on to make their college applications as compelling as possible.
