Program Description
Event Details
In our region, the autumn season brings out some amazing mushroom species. Meet us at the Windsor Public Library for the instructors to lead us into the forest for a close look at local fungi in their natural habitats, explaining the fascinating science of mushroom identification. You’ll see firsthand how the collecting tools are used, and hear great tips on mushroom photography. This class will show you inside a whole world of adventure that most people overlook. The walk will not be difficult, but don’t wear your best shoes and clothes. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian, or at least have the guardian sign our waiver on their behalf.
It is recommended to attend the information class on Monday, October 20 at 6:30 PM.
Registration required. Registration opens September 2. Please call the Reference Desk at 860-285-1918 with any questions.
