I Said This, You Heard That!

Have you ever been in a conversation with a family member or a colleague and thought, “That’s not what I said”? Or maybe wondered, “Why can’t I get through to this person?” You’re not alone.

Effective communication is an essential tool to build strong relationships, personally and professionally. The great news is that improving communication is possible. Although we can't change other people, we can learn and grow ourselves by understanding our innate temperaments, or “wiring,” and the wiring of others.

Join Shawn Elizabeth George, a Wellness teacher passionate about helping others understand your own wiring and recognize others’. This insight can transform how we connect and communicate everyday in our conversations —whether we are at home, at work or anywhere in between. Shawn will provide tips on how to thrive with positive and effective communication. 

"I Said This, You Heard That" is a 90-minute presentation that will teach you to:

• Identify your own individual temperament, or “wiring.”
• Recognize the wiring of others in their lives.
• Better understand how your wiring shapes every conversation.
• Recognize why it is so important you listen to others with the intent to understand, not with the intent to reply to others.
• Identify words that build ourselves and others up.
• Choose your words wisely.
