Event Details

April 8, 2024 will be the last solar eclipse visible in New England until the year 2044. Whether you plan on enjoying the view here or on vacation, we have solar eclipse glasses for you! Please register each individual family member for this event. Preference will be given to Windsor residents, but you are welcome to register if you are from another town and we will make every attempt to get you glasses.

Pickup will begin on April 1 and end on April 6. Some glasses may be available without registration. If you have not picked up your glasses by the end of business day on April 6, they will no longer be held for you and will be given to another patron.

To avoid long lines and to ensure everyone can enjoy the eclipse on April 8, please make every attempt to pick up your glasses before the day of the eclipse.

THE FIRST 48 CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 12 to pick up their glasses will receive an activity bag with their glasses.

Note: A library card number is required to register. Library cards are free so please sign up for one today in your town of residence in order to receive glasses!
