Karen Monger of The Three Foragers will join us for a presentation on the shoots, edible flowers, early fruits, and mushrooms of spring, April through mid June. Karen and her husband are club officers with the Connecticut Valley Mycological Society, and members of several other mushroom clubs in the northeast, and a former editor of the newsletter for the North American Mycological Association. They have written a free blog online since 2009. Their book, published in 2016, is titled Adventures in Edible Plant Foraging: Finding, Identifying, Harvesting, and Preparing Native and Invasive Wild Plants.
