Join the Black Genius University at Wilson Branch Library for a six-week workshop exploring the most powerful Black storytelling of the modern era. Teens will explore stories about the black experience by watching and listening to various artists and cultural figures. Together, they’ll discuss these ideas and learn how to tell their own captivating stories using varied forms of media.

A Gates Cambridge Scholar and Harambean Fellow, she began doctoral studies in Sociology at Cambridge University, on the heels of her Yale MA in African Studies, where her research focus is worldmaking through cultural production.
Olori Lolade is the Founder of NOIR Labs, where she is spearheading the development of Portal X, a gamified social ed-tech platform, as well as Black Genius University, the interdisciplinary African-centered learning system to be housed on Portal X. Learn more at noirlabs.org
